Now, especially is the time to let people shop and curate options for you to still purchase without leaving your home and an EverEve Trendsend box is top of mind.
Before the notion of Staying Home and Sheltering in Place, I decided to try out the Trendsend Subscription Box. If I would have known then (beginning of March 2020) what was coming, I may have been a little more serious about it.
Evereve Trendsend Box Review
How Much is a Trendsend Box?
After your first box, the Trendsend Box will cost you a $20 styling fee per box. So worth it when the clothes you receive are this good. Trendsend works for every budget, depending on the amount of boxes you want and what types of items you like to receive. In general, you’ll receive 6-8 items, all within your budget, and all chosen by a Evereve stylist just for you. All this with free shipping, too!
Since the shelter in place, I have received an additional box, which was equally as good as the first.
In a nutshell, you can create an account on trendsend.com and then tell your stylist what you like and what you don’t of the items they carry in the store, and they curate a box for you. When creating an account, you have the ability to decide how often you want the box. You can choose Monthly, Every Other Month, Every Quarter, or On Demand. I selected Every Quarter to start. When you set up your account, you also do a style profile which helps the stylists pick complete outfits for you to fit your personal style. They also will pick things that may be a bit out of your comfort zone, but I ALWAYS find the stylist was right to pick it for me! Before shipping, they charge a $20 styling fee to your account which is counted towards any items you decide to purchase.
It arrives at your doorstep along with a note from your stylist, and outfit instructions. You try everything on and have a few days to log in and pay for or decline what you don’t like. The package comes with a prepaid return envelope and you return the items you don’t like and keep the rest.
Before we get too much further, I should let you know I’ve sprinkled affiliate links throughout this post. I also have included a referral link for you to sign up to get your first Trendsend style box, you will receive 20% off of EVERY item you keep!
If you use any of the links, I will receive a small commission in which I do a happy dance because that means you like what I’m sharing too 🙂
The ladies always do such a nice job of packaging!
Every time you receive a Trendsend, it will look like this, which is amazing!
I love how they put the outfits in each package so there’s no guess work as to what goes together.
Another detail I love about EverEve is each staff member is a trained stylist. So they will help you with your fit, with what styles look good on what body types, and even pick out things for you you may not have thought would work on you. They offer the style services in store, online, over the phone, or in the Trendsend boxes.
And each sticker they package the outfits in is inspirational and totally on brand!
Below is my box, and I will tell you what I kept and what I didn’t. If you wanted to purchase these items individually, you can do so as well, not just in the boxes
The first outfit was this pair of Sophie Cropped Skinny Jeans from Agolde, this cami from Cloth & Stone, and this cute cardigan from Peyton Jensen.
I opted to return the jeans because I have a ton of them, but also because it is about to be summer here in AZ. I kept the cardigan and cami.
Next outfit was this super comfy camo skirt from Sundry and this muscle tank from Spiritual Gangster.
I kept both of these pieces because they are super versatile and perfect for summer and momlife.
These Agolde Parker shorts came next, and they are absolutely a must for summer! This Michael Stars tie dye tank was the top paired with it.
Of course I was keeping both of these! I sized up to a 30 in the shorts because of my thighs but the waist could have totally stayed my normal size of 29.
This puff sleeve sweater from Allison Joy was the last item in my box, and it was meant to pair with any of the outfits. When I say this sweater is a must, I wear it at least once a week! It’s so comfy!
And yes, I obviously kept it!
Here are the options from my second box, which I received the beginning of June.
The first outfit was this blue Peyton Jensen tie dye dress, Kut from the Kloth white jacket, and pink lace bra. I have the pink version of the dress so I didn’t think I would keep this one, but realized it was different. It’s so soft and has pockets too!
I wanted to see if the dress came in a smaller size, but it wasn’t in stock. So I ended up keeping it anyways. I returned the jacket as I already have 2 white jackets and it’s already way too hot here to keep another! In addition, I also returned the bra as it didn’t fit me the best way, and if I sized up, it would be too big.
Next outfit was this 3 piece Sundry pink lounge set, that is perfect together or as separate pieces! I do love that in each of the boxes, I always get a comfy outfit! Because, I love to wear these for lounging and sometimes to bed.
I’m wearing a 1 in the tops (equals a small) but probably could have returned the shorts for a bigger size which I’m wearing in a 2 (equal to a medium).
So I decided to keep all 3 of these pieces because the fabric is a bit stretchy, so they will be perfect!
The last outfit is one that I wouldn’t normally pick for myself.
Rompers are sometimes hard for me because I’m 2 different sizes in top and bottom. I live for a form fitting outfit, but I want it to be consistent not one or the other if that makes sense. Both the cardigan and the romper are from Peyton Jensen. The cardi is lightweight but does keep you warm in the cool air conditioned indoors. In addition, the romper has smocking, which gives me the waist that I do have, which sometimes is hard to come by in these outfits.
In the end, I decided to keep the cardigan and am exchanging the Medium size for the Large to ensure it fits my booty and thighs better. I hope it still fits in the top!
Even if a store is open near you, I would still use caution and will most likely be shopping online for quite some time. While I have been in our local store here in AZ once, I still prefer to have this box delivered to my door. I don’t have childcare and even though my girls are usually good, I still don’t want to risk them touching things or getting sick or coughing on things.
A few of the other brands EverEve carries are Level 99, Michael Stars, Spiritual Gangster, AG, 7 For All Mankind, Sam Edelman, and P448.
If this service seems new and foreign to you, think about the Stitch Fix boxes.
I personally have never ordered an outfit from Stitch Fix let alone a whole box, but I believe the customer service here is a bit higher. I personally have met and talked with my Stylist, and we are friends on Instagram. I’m not sure that other companies can say the same thing.
This seems like a pivot and another offering that will continue to do well for a long time coming. I look forward to seeing more businesses and companies doing something similar in the near future.

Once your children are born, you get this sense like it’s the completion of the vacation time in your life. Or that the vacation is going on for a longer time because caring for a little kid is not a stress-free task. I know the feeling. On the other hand though, you can totally relax and plan a trip with your little, because traveling with a kiddo is not as problematic as you might imagine. It’s just something that can easily be built up in your head. All you need to do is make the accurate preparations and plan in advance to make sure an entertaining and stress-free trip with your child(ren) and other family members.
As a mama who travels quite a bit by herself with her girls, I can speak first hand to how important some of these things are in ensuring the trip goes smoothly.
Important Tips if You Plan to Travel with Kids
Here are some useful tips for traveling to help you plan for smart travel with your kids and have a carefree vacation. Whether you’re flying across the country or going on one of your yearly road trips to a national park, these tips will come in handy for all types of family travel. From infants to older children.
1) ALWAYS MAKE YOUR PLANS AND RESERVATIONS WELL AHEAD OF
TIME
It is necessary to plan well in advance and have your travel and hotel room or other accommodation reservation confirmed before embarking on your trip when traveling with an infant. This will, of course, allow you to reduce your stress and feel reassured when you start your journey. Especially with your little baby. Plan your route considering your baby’s schedule, such as their nap, playtime, etc. If you’re traveling on a plane, remember that you can totally bring your child’s car seat which makes for easier travel. Don’t forget you can check strollers as well. More on being a responsible traveler, here.
2) CHOOSE THE IDEAL DESTINATIONS FOR KIDS
When planning to travel with a kid, look for places like a beach retreat, family-friendly and scenic resorts, or other similar kid-friendly places. Avoid crowded and noisy tourist destinations, as these present a challenge when you have a little kid lying around. A calm and peaceful environment helps soothe babies. If you want to do something with your kiddos that may not be as acceptable for them, maybe take them to the place after they have had a nap or when their moods or ages are appropriate for the surroundings.
3) TAKE CARE TO FEED YOUR LITTLE CHILD AT THE TIME OF LANDING
AND TAKE-OFF
If you are planning to travel with your kids, here is an important tip you require to follow to keep your little one’s jaws functioning and their ears to modify altitude during the flight. It will also help keep him calm and comfortable moderately than irritable, short-tempered, and distressed at the time of take-off and landing. Always packs snacks, but if you forget, you can ask the flight attendant for a list of children’s snacks.
4) BE ADAPTABLE IN YOUR SCHEDULES
While planning well is imperative, you are still not aware of how your kid will adjust to their different surroundings on your trip. Even older kids. You may therefore need to modify your schedules to take into account your kid’s new schedule. Your child might be bored sitting for longer periods. So keep your route simple. Make your plans adaptable, so it’s much simpler to make last-minute alterations if your kid is tired. This goes right along with tip #2 in that if you want to go somewhere on your agenda, be flexible that maybe your time will be cut short. Or you may have to switch days in attending.
5) SWITCH TO YOUR CHILD’S ROUTINE
Kids get bad-tempered when open to their new surroundings. So be sure to respect your little one’s routine. Assume your child is used to taking a bath, being rocked by a soft cradle song, and cuddling in a bottle. Never diverge from this routine. This will assist her/him in calm down and feel more comfortable. Be mindful if you are switching time zones when traveling and if you will be experiencing jet lag. Adults tend to be able to handle their emotions and tempers when tired better than kids. And time zones play a big part in this around times of sleep. If you are traveling to a place which is 3 hours different than your home time, make reservations earlier or later in the day to accommodate the schedule of your child, not only your own.
6) BRING SOME OF THEIR FAVORITE TOYS AND ALSO BRING SOME NEW ONES
Small kids may feel that they are far from their familiar surroundings. And become quite irritable to new atmospheres while traveling. Carrying a few of their desired toys is a great support to help them adjust to their new surroundings. And certainly has a soothing effect on them. It would also be an excellent indication to go shopping for some new and innovative toys that your child has not played with until now.
Storing them up for your trip is a great idea. As a different toy will automatically grab your child’s attention and keep them occupied for a while until the novelty wears off. One of my favorite places to grab new items for travel is the Target dollar section. It’s super easy to stock up on new items they can use when traveling. And I don’t mind if we lose an item or two. So when you’re making your packing lists, especially when traveling with children, make snacks and toys a priority. As well as a first aid kit for emergencies. More travel must-haves, here.
7) LET YOUR CHILDREN KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF SAFETY DURING TRAVEL
This tip is more for older children than infants, but still important to note. During travel, your children should know the importance of safety during travel. So, its a good idea to have a talk with your children and lay down some travel ground rules. These might include checking in often, staying close to family, avoiding wandering off, letting you know when they need to use the bathroom, when they’re hungry, and so on. This is not something meant to scare your children, but more to educate them on the danger of large crowds and new places, and the importance of keeping everyone safe, sound, and stress-free.
8) KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR KIDDOS
As a parent, I don’t have to tell you how important it is to keep an eye on your kiddos throughout your vacation. No matter how good of a parent you are, children can easily get lost in busy airports, crowded amusement parks, and hustling and bustling tourist destinations. So, here are a few tips to help you keeps your kids close.
First, dress your child in easily identifiable clothing. In a color you can remember. This will help you quickly find your child in a crowd. If both parents are present, designate times in which that parent is responsible. This way the other parent can take breaks here and there. Never leave your child unattended. Always make sure they are with a family member, especially if you step away for the restroom. If no one else is around, take your child to the restroom with you. Designate check-in times with older children throughout the day. And also, take a photo of your child(ren) each morning. This way, just in case your child does wander off, you can easily show authorities what your child looks like, and what they were wearing.
9) LISTEN TO YOUR CHILDREN
Throughout your vacation, remember to check-in with your children on an emotional level. Being away from home and possibly out of normal routine can be stressful on children. Even if you are having a wonderful family vacation, it could be taking a toll on your children.
Check-in, make sure all their needs are met, and ensure your children are doing ok. Take some time to reflect on the activities you are doing and ensure your child is getting plenty of fun and excitement out of the vacation. Even if you feel like they won’t remember the vacation because they are too young, its still important to ensure they are having a good, stress-free time. When your children get what they need during vacation, they will be much more likely to enjoy travel and exploring new cultures in the future. They are also much more likely have a more positive outlook on life.

Life isn’t always kind to most people. It throws challenges and bad days at you only to make you vulnerable. Nevertheless, you can’t stop life from doing what it does to everyone, but you can certainly be at your own defense by being a mentally strong person.
Having said that. A strong mind doesn’t only help you survive but also gives you the courage to walk with your head held high. And in some ways, being mentally stronger is more important than physical strength.
Therefore, if you want to toughen up, this article is just what you need.
Ways to be a Mentally Strong Person
What does it mean to be mentally strong
Being mentally tough is about more than just being a tough-cookie though. Mental strength shows your ability to cope with stress, pressures, and challenges, etc. All of which are a normal part of life, making mental-toughness a important skill to have. Especially when it comes to navigating adulthood with careers, spouses, and children.
Benefits of mental strength
Improves overall mental health and outlook on life
Increases your overall problem-solving skills, especially in difficult situations
Helps you not care what other people think (as much, at least)
Allows you to better cope with some mental illness
Encourages you to react less with anger, and more with grace
Reduces negative thoughts about yourself and the world
Improves your ability to bounce back from failure
Encourages you to step out of your comfort zone w/o fear
Helps you better face your fears
Motivates you to learn from your mistakes, rather than repeating them
Helps you learn to accept responsibility for your own actions and thoughts
7 ways to be a mentally strong person
1. Taking everything as a challenge
When we find ourselves challenged, we do everything we have to do to win. Therefore, do the same here. Only this time, be the person who is challenging you.
For instance- every time you think it is too hard for you to get out of a problem, challenge yourself that you have to find a solution no matter what.
2. Prove yourself wrong
Our minds force us to believe the negative. It makes you doubt your capabilities. But consider your mind as another person who is trying to bully you into believing what’s false.
The next course of action then would be to prove this another person wrong. But how would you do that? By believing in yourself and giving all you got.
3. Learn to say NO
Even this small two-letter word can be the toughest to utter for some people. Perhaps because it involves standing up for yourself while running the risk of disappointing others.
Well, I understand how difficult it is. But you have to acknowledge that there’s only so much you can take. You have to say no. And if it strains your relationship with people, then your relations were too weak, to begin with.
4. Be comfortable in your discomforts
Life doesn’t hand you pretty things on a platter. Therefore, to be a strong person is to do stuff that you are most uncomfortable doing. The task can be highly challenging, something new, and may involve a lot of risks as well. But if you know this is what it would take, go ahead with it.
If we’ve learned anything lately, this is one of the top ones on this list. I have personally had a ton of tough conversations with people I love about topics I couldn’t even imagine yet it is important that I had the conversations to help myself as well as them understand the issues at hand. It helped me understand I could be both strong and vulnerable equally at the same time.
This does not mean you have to suppress your feelings, you just have to keep them to yourself for the moment and be out with it when you feel it is the best time. Also, you can have a good cry for a while only to be back at your feet and finish what you started. What is pivotal here is that you do not have to give up no matter what.
Trust me, when you think you cannot do it anymore or you aren’t strong enough, your mind is just fooling you into believing it. You are stronger than that, and you can hold on longer than you think.
6. Complain less
When things don’t go in our favor or we find something hard, we do nothing pragmatic but complain about it.
This is not to be done. Instead, you have to accept challenges as they come. Imagine this to be like a question paper instead. The questions can be highly difficult, but instead of whining over the difficulty level for three hours, you have to apply your mind to try to solve it.
It’s important to remember if you have little ears around, they will pick up on your complaining and habits when things don’t go right, and start expressing them in ways you may not imagine. I learned really quick when my oldest was little to take a different approach as I didn’t want her to develop the bad habit.
7. Celebrate others’ accomplishments
It is easier to envy others’ growth and achievement than to celebrate them. But this is what toxicity is and a strong-minded person ought to stay away from it. Having a strong mind is to acknowledge that it’s not always about you. You just have to focus on yourself because life is just too short to be jealous of others.
8. But don’t forget to celebrate yourself as well
A huge part of being mentally strong is having confidence in yourself. Self-esteem is essential, because if you don’t respect and honour yourself, how will expect anyone else to? That might sound kind-of harsh, but my point is, you have to remember to celebrate yourself as well. When you achieve something – small or big – treat yourself, take time to reflect on all you’ve accomplished, do something special for yourself, share the good news. Celebrate yourself.
By giving yourself a big ol’ pat on the back, you’re reinforcing your confidence in yourself. And in turn, you’re showing the world you’re confident in yourself as well. Further building that mental fortitude.
9. Exercise your mind
Being mentally strong isn’t all about how other’s perceive you. It’s also about how quickly and accurately your mind can come to the right conclusion and handle everything that life throws at it.
So, if you’re ready to build mental strength and reach your goals, start by exercising your mind. It might sound silly, but things as simple as completing mind-bending puzzles, watching educational documentaries, listening to self-improvement podcasts, and reading self-help books, can drastically sharpen your mind. As well as teach you a plethora of other useful life skills.
10. Be aware of your self-talk
Even though this one is last on my list today, it’s certainly not the least important. In fact, it’s super important. In order to be mentally strong, you have to be good to yourself. You need to hold yourself in high-esteem. If you’re constantly talking down to yourself, by the way you speak about yourself to others or by the negative thoughts you have in your head, you’re crushing your mental toughness. And not crushing it in the good way.
With self-confidence and high self-esteem comes mental toughness. Really, mental strength doesn’t exist without confidence in oneself. You can’t have one without the other. As you develop your mental strength, work on developing confidence and self-esteem as well. I know, I know easier said than done. But still so important.
Well, my job here is done. But before bidding farewell, I would like you to remember that it won’t be easy to be mentally strong. And not all mentally strong people are as strong as they seem. But you will get there if you try hard and keep steadfast in your determination. One small step at a time.
Hey, feel you have some ideas to share? Are you someone that possesses mental strength? What are your tips? I’m here to listen. Feel free to drop by the comment section.
If you are a blogger, then you must have hit writer’s block sometime in your career. It is frustrating when you go without updating your blog for ages because you have simply run out of ideas to create new content.
In order for your blog to grow, your posting schedule should be regular and consistent, but when you hit writer’s block, your schedule goes haywire as you are left pulling out your hair, trying to come up with fresh content.
The good news is; it need not be this difficult. You can still come up with fresh, engaging content even when you feel like your creative juices have drained out. Wondering how? Well, read on to find out how you can create brand new content for your blog even when suffering from creative blocks.
How to create blogging content when you don’t have any ideas
How to push out new content when you’re out of ideas
1. By Curating Content
Curate content from your ten most favorite websites and publish a blog post listing them along with their best features. Curate a list of products you love from your favorite website ranking them and letting your readers know why you love them and how they can help their lives.
These are some of the easiest ways of creating blog content while also giving shoutouts to other bloggers. You can name your article something like Best Blogging Posts in 2021 or likewise. This also works with the best products especially if you have seen other bloggers post about them before you tried them out.
2. Post product reviews
Search engines love product reviews because they are so valuable to readers. Pick up a product or service you like, and write a review on it, explaining its merits and demerits from your point of view. Easy! You can also do this with places and services around you where you live that are similar in services or food types.
Take a step further by contacting the company and asking them to donate a sample for giving away to your blog commenters. Who says you can’t be creative during a creative block?
3. By soliciting guest posts
Research a little on blogs that are smaller in size or are the same size as yours, and invite these bloggers to write a guest post on your blog. Pick topics that you may not cover but know your readers would be interested in learning or reading about.
The bloggers will be thrilled to get exposure to your audience, and you, in turn, will find some new readers when the bloggers promote the guest post to their contacts. Just be sure it’s a high quality piece of content before you post to your own blog.
4. By explaining how you succeeded
Readers often come to you with questions like, ‘How did you start your blog?’ or ‘How did you grow your blog?’ or ‘What is the secret to a successful blog such as yours?’
Take the time to write a post addressing all these questions, explaining your entire journey to success, with all the milestones and stepping stones that you came across, all the lessons you learned so others can learn that as well. Readers will take away the value of this content and appreciate your story.
5. Explain your challenges
A great counterpart to the success story you post can be a story about the challenges you encountered and what lesson you took away from them. Create content about that!
Be authentic, not creative, and just tell the experience as it was, and how you dealt with the problem and moved forward. Your readers will definitely appreciate your journey and how far you have come.
6. Interview someone
Interviews are great content for blog posts and help you keep your content varied. Adding other topics you may not cover but closely relate to your topics help to give some interest and variety to what readers already expect from you. Think about your target audience, who would they want to hear from?
Also, it isn’t as difficult coming up with a few interview questions as it is to come up with an entire blog post. It also gives you a chance to interact with other stalwarts in the blogging industry and increase your network. Even consider interviewing other freelance writers, with whom you can exchange tips and strategies for overcoming that pesky writers block.
7. By repurposing content
What does repurposing content mean?
It means that you take the content from a blog post, email newsletter, or Instagram Live (really, any social media post) and turn it into another type of content, such as a YouTube video. It’s like becoming your own little content marketer.
Sounds easy right? You can just take some older email list newsletters and turn them into a modified and updated blog post. Don’t copy everything from the newsletter into the post; try to add new points or explain the other points in detail so that you don’t recycle old content – you repurpose it.
Last but not least:
If your creative juices are drained, find ways to get inspired once again. You can do this by reading other great blog posts and collecting ideas, writing a deeply personal story on your blog, sharing your most vulnerable yet transformative moments with your readers, and taking some time off writing, then revisiting with a fresh approach.
Blog Post Ideas
Below, I’ve featured a few of my favorite blogging niches, including some ideas for blog posts you can make within these niches. These are all topics I tend to dabble in, because they are all super fun to write about and participate in. Plus, as a blogger, its important to be able to write about a wide range of subjects, even if you only choose to write about a few.
Depending on your particular blogging niche, there are many types of posts you can make to keep your content consistent and fresh. Use these ideas for your blog (below) to help you curate your next great topic or great idea. Then, create an original post and tell me all about it in the comments – I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Lifestyle
Lifestyle bloggers generally blog about well…life. Bloggers in this broad niche live a unique lifestyle, different from the status-quo. Thus they have a unique perspective to share with their readers. Minimalist, vegan, sporty, health-driven, urban, rural, mom, and so on are all different types of blogs that fall within this category. In need of a little inspo, read this lifestyle blog I wrote. It’s all about Arizona, and the Fall events I love attending year after year.

Parenting
They say it takes a village to raise a kid. Consider the parenting niche of blogging that village. As a parent, I love parenting blogs. No, I don’t follow the advice of every one I read, that’s never a good idea. But they do inspire me and show me new parenting perspectives. And remind me that I’m not in this alone. I love posting in the parenting niche, since I am of course a mother first and foremost. Check out my article about raising positive kids for an example of a good blog for this niche.

Fashion
Fashion blogs are among the most searched for blogs in the world. Everyone needs a little fashion inspo from time to time, including myself. With every season comes tons of new trends, making it super hard to keep up. That’s why fashion bloggers are so important in the online space. While I’m not a declared fashion blogger, I do dabble in this niche from time to time. See how to style a kimono for an example.

Personal Development
From finances to relationships to mental health, we all need a little personal development in our life. If not for one thing, then another. The personal development niche is all about sharing the lessons you’ve learned throughout life in hopes of helping others. I love it. Here’s an example of a personal development blog I wrote not too long ago. It’s all about how to be a mentally strong person.

Beauty
Makeup, cosmetic procedures, anti-aging techniques, hair treatments, product reviews – there is so much to talk about when it comes to beauty. Especially in today’s fast-paced environment where new products, trends, and treatments are coming out every. single. day. Wherever your passions lie within the beauty niche, there is always something to blog about here. Here’s an example of a blog I wrote in the beauty niche: how to hydrate your skin from the inside out.
Beauty blog ideas:

Makeup ideas for Holiday parties

Pets
Unless you’re a vet, it’s hard to know exactly how to care for your animal. Especially if they are a special type of animal. That’s where pet blogs come in. They tell you all your animal, including unique facts, how to care for it, how to improve it’s life, the best toys, the best food, and so on. To see an example of a pet blog in action, see this one I wrote about how to properly take care of your frenchie.
Using all the hacks mentioned in this article, you will make sure that you never run out of content to post on your blog, even when you yourself feel creatively uninspired. Now, it’s time to revive your blog again, and decorate it with killer content that uses up the least of your creative resources!
